Internal Family Systems
I have completed Level 1 training through the IFS Institute. This is the primary modality I use in therapy sessions (and admittedly, how I aim to navigate my own life!). What this includes is me helping guide you through your own thoughts, perspectives, and emotions to get to know yourself with openness and curiosity. I will aim to help you get curious about how you show up and what activates you. I want to help you develop a compassionate relationship with all parts of yourself.
Addictions & substance use
I have worked in a variety of settings helping folks who struggle with addictions and substance use, from inpatient and residential to PHPs and IOPs to outpatient settings. I have deep gratitude around doing this work, which I also approach from the IFS lens.
Embodiment
I deeply enjoy incorporating embodiment work into my practice. So what does this look like? It might include us bringing intentional awareness to your body’s experiences. It might include somatic practices in session to help give you safe experiences in your body. Or, it may include a mutually agreed upon “walk-and-talk” session.
Trauma
Through the lens of IFS, I help folks get to know the parts of themselves that have been deeply impacted by various traumas. My goal will be to help you access compassion and curiosity towards all parts of you.
